Multiple OS
What number of server Operating Systems can you select from?
An Operating System is the software that communicates with the hardware of a computer system and works as the intermediary between apps and the hardware, which includes peripheral devices such as a printer, a mouse or a keyboard. When you run an app, it transfers requests to the OS through an API (Application Program Interface) and the communication is done through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Identical to a personal computer, web servers also have an Operating System which acts as a host for the software installed on them, including script applications or server-side software such as a flash server, a VOIP server, and many others. A virtual machine can be generated on a physical one, so it is possible to install a guest OS on it and have a different system environment in contrast to the physical server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
Our
VPS server solutions include three Linux distributions that you could pick from for the Operating System of your new web server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Aside from being absolutely free, the OSs are very stable and risk-free and the reason to offer the three of them is to ensure that you'll be able to run any application that you would like, since different pieces of software could have different requirements in terms of the environment they work on. Each one of the three OSs is backed by a huge community of web developers who have developed thousands of software packages which you can set up and use on your VPS. In accordance with the Operating System which you pick, you will also be able to choose between three different Control Panels to handle your hosting content. Of course, should you decide that you need a different OS, we can always reinstall the server with it. As a paid upgrade, we also offer you weekly updates of the Operating System for optimum stability and security.
